We’ve discovered over 500 current want ads for US job openings that companies are in a hurry to fill. But they’re only considering foreign citizens who hold business visas; some will be satisfied with a B2, tourist visa.
Their ads convey a sense of urgency that’s lacking in ads posted for Americans. Many of these ads need to fill their US job openings within 15 days – only accomplished thru business or tourists visas. Most of these ads reveal that these are short-term projects – 3 to 6 months.
The skills required in these jobs ads are found across America; SAP, PeopleSoft, JAVA, .Net, C++, Oracle — even COBOL. they demand a wide expanse of the experience — from entry-level to mid-level experience. Few of these openings require more than 8 years of experience. These want ads aren’t fussy about formal training, most state “Any Graduate – Any Specialization”.
All of these job openings have the unmistakable message: these companies can’t outsource our jobs without visas.
Here’s one job opening for a junior trainer, with 1 year experience in BPO & processing health care claims. My heart aches for the Americans that will be forced to train them and then be fired, but this meaning is conveyed right here in the want ad: “Candidates would be part of knowledge transfer team and would need to travel to US immediately.”
